Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you submit code to the challenge, we store:

• Your submitted code and its execution results (score, timing, correctness)
• An anonymized version of your IP address (last octet zeroed)
• A SHA-256 hash of your code
• An AI-generated review of your submission

If you choose to make your score public, we store the display name you provide.

If you choose to send your info to METR, we send your name, email, and LinkedIn/resume URL to METR staff via email.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymized usage data. See Google's privacy policy for details.

How we use your data

Submitted code and scores are used solely to operate the challenge and leaderboard. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties beyond what is described above.

Data retention

Submissions and leaderboard entries are retained for the duration of the challenge. You can request deletion of your data by emailing sydney@metr.org.
